I've just been doing some experimenting in the little book, it's been fun and challenging, there have been many failures a long the way but i am learning a lot with each one.
thanks a lot guys, much appreciated. unfortunately a lot of the images get ruined, or over time get dirty because the pencil transfers onto the opposite pages. oh well, thats life i guess :P
Amazing work man. I'm always amazed with what I see on here. Do you draw the faces from reference or just make them up? The one in the last post is definitely a new favourite :)
thanks man!! generally i start with the ref to get a basic proportion down, but i usually discard it quite early on and change the lighting and whatever to suit the mood. this way i am forced to think more about planes and stuff, and i usually learn more than just copying whats there. if i get really stuck or things are turning out bad, one can alwys go back and check the ref anyway.
Really killer sketchbook mate. Wish I could see it in real life!
ReplyDeletewhat Jon said- i bet your sketchbook looks amazing in person. Great stuff
